Important information

Policies & disclosures

Please read these notices before purchasing or participating in a Stacona Indigenous Institute course.

Professional learning and health information disclaimer

Our courses, materials, and certificates are provided for professional educational purposes only. They are not medical advice, mental-health therapy, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for services from a qualified healthcare professional.

Participation does not create a provider-patient, therapist-client, or other clinical relationship with Stacona Indigenous Institute or its instructors. Learners should use professional judgment and follow the laws, policies, licensing requirements, and protocols that apply to their own role and setting.

Course outcomes and certificates

Certificates of completion recognize successful completion of the stated course requirements. They do not guarantee employment, promotion, credentialing, licensure, clinical competence, income, or any other professional outcome.

Learners are responsible for confirming whether a course or certificate meets their employer, licensing board, continuing-education, or professional-development requirements.

Refund and cancellation policy

Refund requests may be submitted within 7 days of purchase only when no course module has been completed. Once any module is completed, the course is nonrefundable because access to digital learning materials has been provided.

For help with access or a refund request that meets this policy, contact eugenastacona@staconaindigenousinstitute.com. Requests are reviewed using the enrollment and course-progress records associated with the purchase.

Course materials, Indigenous knowledge, and intellectual property

Course materials, including frameworks, videos, workbooks, writing, visual elements, and assessments, are protected by copyright and other applicable rights. Enrollment provides a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the materials for the enrolled learner's own professional learning.

You may not copy, download for redistribution, publish, sell, adapt, train automated systems on, share account access to, or otherwise repurpose course materials without prior written permission. Indigenous knowledge and community-informed perspectives must be approached with respect, attribution, and accountability; they are not provided for extraction or unauthorized commercial use.

Privacy and essential technologies

We collect the information needed to respond to inquiries, create and secure learner accounts, process course purchases through our payment provider, provide access to enrolled courses, maintain completion records, and issue certificates. We do not sell personal information.

This site uses essential technologies needed for account security, checkout, course access, and site operation. We do not currently use advertising pixels or non-essential analytics tools. Our Privacy Policy provides additional information about our data practices.
